The climate crisis and current geopolitical reality have compelled us to speed up the energy transition: a global shift from fossil-based energy production to renewable energy sources is needed to obtain the objectives of the Paris Agreement. This transition is not easy and has a number of challenges.
One of those challenges is the further integration of renewable energy sources in our system. The uncertain nature of solar and wind energy production, due to specific times of day and the local weather conditions, makes sustainable energy production highly fluctuating. In order to balance the continuously changing demand for energy with this fluctuating supply, innovations like efficient and clean battery solutions and large-scale hydrogen production are needed.
At Rebel, we love to tackle challenging issues like this. Rebel has been working in the field of renewable energy since 2010, and the stability and security of renewable energy is one of the top challenges Rebels work on. With a diverse portfolio of projects focusing on geothermal, solar, wind, tidal and hydro energy sources, Rebels also works on renewable applications such as hydrogen or district heating systems, which extends our services (and impact!) from the energy sector to the built environment and industry.
For all these different technologies, our Energy Rebels offer specific services, among which is advanced financial modelling and analysis, policy advice, strategy and bid development.
